Hey, my name is Jameson DeBord. I am a transfer student from the University of the Cumberlands and I will be majoring in Special Education with an emphasis in middle grade math. I am excited to get this class going and see the new things I will learn at a new school.

ReplyDeleteJameson, welcome to EKU! We need more math teachers! We talked about the need for quality math instruction in our schools at a meeting I was in yesterday. Lots of our teachers who teach math are great "AT MATH" but may not understand how to conceptualize math concepts or teach it conceptually so that kids understand it. Excited to have you here and hope you'll really dig in and find ways to help students understand what seems to be such a complex subject for so many.
